Epilogue: All’s Well That Ends Well

Five Months Later

Natalie sat in front of Blake’s grave thinking back over that night and the events that had led them there. From the moment Blake had come into her life things had changed. But never in her wildest dreams had she imagined him to be the beast he turned out to be or to have as much love and compassion as he did. She was grateful he had been there for her in her time of need but regretted not telling him how she felt the moment her feelings had changed.

Chapter 29: Moonlight and Roses

“Cocky!” Dante sneered as he led Blake into a room above the railing. “You kill a man and suddenly think you have what it takes to call yourself an Alpha?” Blake looked at him surprised and it only made the smirk on Dante’s face grow more. “Oh yeah I know. I could smell it on you before you even stepped inside. Who was it? A poor, defenseless bum you had to pick from between your teeth? Or a fragile little coed on her way home from the library? It couldn’t have been anyone fight worthy because I doubt you’d be left standing.”

Chapter 28: Nightmares

“NATALIE!” Blake yelled in a huff as he sat up quickly on the bed. The pounding of his heart echoed in the tiny room as his breathing became more and more erratic and short. It was another of those dreams that caused his wolf unrest. Another nightmare that depicted a violent bloodbath that always ended the same: Natalie lying dead at his feet. Two days he was at Angelo’s waiting for the moon cycle to end and hoping it would give him the distance he needed to keep his wolf from acting on the primal urges he felt when around her.
